Polymargin is a read-only market terminal in its current phase. We do not require account creation, we do not store wallet addresses, and we do not process payments. This policy describes the limited data we do handle and how we protect it.
1. Information We Collect
Automatically Collected Data
When you visit Polymargin, our servers and third-party analytics services may automatically record standard web log data including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and time spent on pages. This data is collected in aggregate and is used solely to understand platform usage patterns and improve performance.
Local Storage and Session Data
Polymargin stores certain preferences locally in your browser — for example, your selected chart interval, active outcome, leverage settings, and UI theme preference. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
No Account Data
Polymargin does not currently require user accounts, registration, or authentication. We do not collect names, email addresses, wallet addresses, or any other personally identifiable information as part of normal platform use.
2. Cookies
We use a minimal number of cookies strictly necessary for platform operation — primarily to preserve session preferences and ensure consistent UI state across page loads. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or cross-site tracking of any kind.
You can control cookie behaviour through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain UI preferences but will not prevent you from using the platform's core features.
3. Third-Party Data Sources
Polymargin displays data sourced from Polymarket's public CLOB and Gamma APIs. When you use the platform, your browser establishes WebSocket connections to Polymarket's subscription infrastructure for real-time order book and price data. These connections are direct and are subject to Polymarket's own data handling practices.
We use TradingView Lightweight Charts (a client-side charting library) for price chart rendering. This library runs entirely in your browser and does not transmit chart data or user behaviour to TradingView's servers.
4. Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand aggregate usage patterns — which pages are visited, which markets are most viewed, and how the platform performs across devices. Any analytics data collected is anonymised and aggregated. We do not use Google Analytics or other surveillance-heavy analytics platforms.
5. Data Retention
Server log data is retained for a limited period (typically 30–90 days) for security and debugging purposes, then deleted. Browser-local data (preferences, simulated positions) is retained until you clear your browser storage. We do not retain any personally identifiable data beyond what is needed for immediate operational purposes.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Since we collect minimal personal data in normal operation, most requests will be trivially satisfied. You can delete your browser-local data at any time by clearing your browser's storage for this site.

7. Security
All data transmitted between your browser and Polymargin is encrypted via HTTPS. Real-time market data is delivered over secure WebSocket connections (WSS). We follow reasonable security practices for the data we do handle, but no transmission over the internet is completely secure.
8. Changes to This Policy
As the platform evolves — particularly as wallet connectivity and real trade execution are introduced in future phases — this policy will be updated to reflect any new data handling practices. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when material changes are made.
